Hunting licenses HARRISBURG - New Penn sylvania hunting and trapping licenses are now on sale from county treasurers and issuing agents. Except for an increase in non-resident fees several years ago, the cost of Pennsylvania hunting licenses have remained stable since 1973. Resident licenses sell for $8.25; junior and senior residents $5.25; non-residents $60.50; archery stamp $2.20; and the muzzleloader stamp at $3.25. This year, all first-time hunters must have hunter education training, or produce evidence they’ve hunted in Pennsylvania or another state in a prior year. Persons applying for resident licenses must “prove” residency through a motor vehicle registration card; - a receipt showing payment of Pennsylvania fa/D/C -aßSm^n BOTTOM UNLOADERS Rene Pfalagraf Paul ZimnjtgiTian on sale income tax, or receipts evidencing payment of taxes required of Pennsylvania residents; or some other “positive” means of verifying residency. A Penn sylvania “driver’s license” is not sufficient, since many non residents illegally maintain a Pennsylvania “driver’s license” after moving to another state. The 1982-83 Hunting and Trap ping Digest is supplied with each license. The 56-page booklet contains information on seasons and bag limits, rules and regulations, maps and dates for special regulation areas .and', numerous other tips and items of interest to sportsmen. Hunters should be certain to get their digest when they purchase a license and familiarize themselves with its contents.
