Miss Elevation is owned and shown by Merle Woodring of Ment Wood Farm, Chambersburg, and is the daughter of Kingstead Cal Jewel and sired by Round Oak Rag Apple Elevation. According to the Woodring, thr id chr Steven Eckstine claimed the 4-H Champion title of the show with Meadow-Vu Elevation Karen, who stood at the top of her Dry Cow Six and Over class, followed by El-Dor Astronaut Phoebe, owned and shown by J. Arlan Crider, left, collecting the 4-H Reserve Grand Champion award. The champion award was presented by Chris Reichard and Reserve Champion award given by the George Cashell family. CHAMBERSBURG - Franklin County 4-H Rabbit Club, now boasting 50 members, held their annual Round-up at the Franklin County Fair last week. Club members entered their rabbits in the Open Youth Rabbit Show, winning 57 ribbons out of the 83 ribbons awarded in the show. Winners of the 4-H Senior Showmanhip Class were: cham pion - Wendy Zullmger, Cham bersburg; reserve champion - Tim Seibert, Shippensburg; third - Beth Luster, Waynesboro; and fourth - Daniel Hess, New Franklin. Winners of the 4-H Junior Showmanship Class were: champion - Samuel Welty Jr., Waynesboro; reserve champion - Rhonda Garling, Chambers burg; third - Keith Welty, Wayneboro; and fourth - Steve Jones, St. Thomas. daughter tops Franklin Holstein show projected to produce over 27,000 pounds of milk this year. John Morris, official judge for the show, also selected the champion, Miss Elevation, as the Best Udder overall. Meadow-Vu Farm Rag Apple Alice claimed the Reserve Champion title for the Eckstine family of Mercersburg. Rag Apple Alice is sired by Paclamar Triune Jethro out of Meadow-Vu Rag Apple Alma. The Brudettes were the winners of the Reserve Junior Champion title with their junior heifer calf, Windy-Knoll-View Sexation Miss. The reserve junior champion is out of Windy-Knoll- View Millard Marcy sired by Ocean View Sexation. Rhonda Fahmey won the 4-H Reserve Junior Champion honors with her entry Bell-Hill Chris Gwen, a senior yearling heifer. Fahmey’s heifer is sired by Le-Del Elevation Chris. Winning the coveted title of Premier Breeder was James and Nina Burdette of Mercersburg. James and Nina collected the Breeder award by claiming top placings* in many classes, in cluding Best 3 Females, Senior 2 Year Old, Junior <let-of-Sire, and Senior Yearling Heifer.
