The high-selling Guernsey is out of Red Hill Champs Floss, a Housleys J Champion daughter. The annual sale grossed $139,550 on 44 head which averaged $3,172 Consignments arrived from 13 states as well as Canada. A high-producing 3-year-old brought second top price of $7,000 Chedco TH Honey, consigned by J Hammond Dugan of Springfield, Mass., was purchased by Canadian breeder K. A. Forster of Ontario. Stray voltage seminar speaks to service reps LANCASTER Extension engineers and dairy specialists as well as electricians will be on hand Thursday, June 17 at Lancaster County’s Farm and Home Center to present an all-day stray voltage seminar to dairy service representatives The seminar, which runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., is geared toward helping servicemen solve stray voltage problems. Participants will receive advice on stan dardizing measuring techniques and results. Thomas Lurvey, Chester and Barb Williams and Ernest Berousek of Baraboo, Wis pur chased the 3-month-old heifer. She is sired by Applebrook Fames Corporal and out of Willow Brook D Denise, Ex-90 A bred heifer consigned by Lurvey brought $6,000 from installers and utility company. A variety of stray voltage problems will be simulated with a new table top demonstration. There will be ample tune for questions. Speakers for the day include: Penn State agriculture engineers Joseph McCurdy, Paul Anderson and James Fairchild; Stephen Spencer, Penn State Dairy specialist; Karl Miller, Surge representative.
