Hannan’s and Martin’s reign will be highlighted by competmg m the national royalty contest next November at the 116th National Grange session m Providence, Rhode Island. The Junior royalty recently represented their state at the New Jersey State Grange session in Atlantic City, New Jersey and look forward to revisiting that state for their junior camp m August. David L. Harman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David W. Harman of Sabillasville, Md. A 1979 graduate of Catoctm High School, he was a member of the Cougar Marching Band and the Catoctm Chapter of Future Farmers of America. As a senior David served as state vice president of the Md. Ass’n. of FFA He also attended Missouri Auction School and received the degree of Colonel. David joined the Thurmont Grange when he was 17 years old and has been serving as assistant steward of the Grange for two years. Harman recently served as an officer in the 1981 State Youth Officer Corp and is currently on the State Youth Team. He is an active member of the Blue Ridge Mountain Vol. Fire Co. and the Blue Ridge Mt. Ambulance and Rescue Squad, where he serves as an officer. He is a Maryland and Penn sylvania certified Emergency Medical Technician. Harman is employed by Allsafe Fire Equipment Inc. as a sales representative, based in Hager- daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd C. stown, Maryland. He is a member Martin of Thurmont.
