We hope that no-till grain drills will become as popular and well used as no-till corn planters,” reports John R. Akers, district conservationist with the Chambersburg office of the USDA Soil Con servation Service. Many of the same guidelines apply for using a no-till gram drill as for using a no-till corn planter, such as planting in a crop residue, Akers com ments. Proper timing in using pesticides is important to control weeds and insects, he adds. “Gram and hay crops =■ FARM INSURANCE * Farm Liability A Fire * Fleet, Auto and Truck * Long Haul Truck * Filings and Fuel Oil Bonds Free Survey GOOD'S AGENCY 236 E Mam Street .New Holland, PA 17557 717-354-9641 TIRES BY DANNY CARR Quakertown, PA (215)536-8454 (215)257-8075 FARM-TRACTOR-TRUCK-RV ★ No tire is too little or too big ★ We try not to be under sold. ★ Call us before you buy for low prices. 900*20 Reg thread 10 ply *99.00 + FET &up HiLug Rear Tractor Tires.. *79.00 + FET4up Visit us at our stand at the Green Dragon Farmers market on Fridays and at the Leesport Farmers Market on Wednesdays.
