A new Ford-designed syn chromesh Bx 4 transmission (eight forward speeds and four reverse speeds) debuts on the Series 10 tractor line. Ford’s synchromesh transmission permits clash-free shifting, especially during downshifts, and is ideal for use when transporting implements and wagons. Other synchromesh features include more even ground-speed steps between gears, especially in the field-working speed range for more efficient matching of implements and loads.
