Edwin Ditzler Northern Lebanon Chapter Northern Lebanon High Rabbit breeding has been a major FFA project activity of Edwin Ditzler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Ditzler, Rl, Jonestown. He showed the best commercial rabbit at the 1980 Lebanon Fair. „ He has taken first place in meat judging at the Berks Agricultural Center. Among his committee posts have been those on the budget, forage samples, educational trips, citrus and scrapbook groups. He at tended the 1980 national con vention. He has served in the office of chapter treasurer. In addition to being named Star Chapter Far mer, he has attended the Washington Leadership Con ference. He is a member of the track team and the American Rabbit Breeders Assn. In the future he plans to attend Penn State. Among his hobbies are fishing, stamp and coiri collecting. Todd Propst Northern Lebanon Chapter Northern Lebanon High Broilers and trapping have been the projects of Todd M. Propst, son of Jason and Bonnie Propst, R 2, Jonestown. In addition to presently serving ' as county FFA president, Todd has held the offices of chapter chaplain and president. Todd Propst His other activities have ranged from serving on the chapter and county banquet committees to designing and building a float. He attended the national convention and Washington Leadership Training and served as chairman of the exhibit booths. Among his awards have been second in chapter creed contest and first in the county creed, third in wildlife conservation speech, first in wildlife judging, second in the county and fifth in the area in extemporaneous speaking, second in county live; >ck judging and bronze medal 1 n state fat hog project and land judging. He is a member of the Ono Methodist Church. He plans to continue m farming, working parttune as a bodyman and racing on the side. He enjoys trapping, hunting and working on />»■”' James Rudy ’ Northern Lebanon Chapter Northern Lebanon High James Rudy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Rudy, R 3, Jonestown, has concentrated on projects of raising rabbits and growing field corn. He has taken top awards in both areas. He showed the Best of Breed 5 at the 1981 Lebanon Fair anil took first placmgs in the County Corn Yield and Quality Contest. He has been a member of the FFA Band, took a bronze in the state land judging, and a first place m the 1980 Chapter Motor cycle Safety Demonstration. His committees mclude banquet, promoting FFA, honor roll and honoring FFA alumni. He has served as chapter parliamentarian and reporter. He is a member of the band and soccer teams, St. John’s U.C.C. Church, Pennsylvania Trappers Association and the American Rabbit Breeders Association. In the future he plans to attend trade school. His hobbies range from hunting, fishing and trapping to working on cars. Lehigh County Cheryl Bobey Lehigh County Chapter Lehigh County Vo-Tech Cheryl Bobey, 18, the daughter of Mary Lou Bobey, Spring Ridge Apartments, 'Whitehall, is a student at Whitehall High School. A member of the Lehigh County FFA Chapter at Lehigh County Vo- Tech, she has been active on committees dealing with the sale of citrus fruits, the banquet, Farm and Home Show ang the Alljentown Fair. , - . Her work experience has been at a floral shop. She has received public speaking awards at the chapter, county, area and regional levels. A chapter farmer, she has also won a floral design contest. Her future plans are directed at continuing in floral work. / Michael Kuehler Lehigh County Chapter Lehigh County Vo-Tech The projects of Michael Kuehler, 17, son of Anthony and Betty Jane Kuehler, 2414 Walbert Ave., Allentown, have included breeding and market sheep, market swine, laying hens and home garden. A student at Allentown Central Catholic High School, he has been active in showing at the Lehigh County Farm and Home Show, Keystone International, , State Farm Show, PerkiomenviUe Swine Show and Sale, Trexlertown Mini- Farm Show, the Quakertown Swine Show and the Allentown Fair Sheep Show. His committees have included citrus sale, exhibit, BOAC, picnic, chicken barbecue, sheep production and show and Farm Show. Michael has served as chaplain of the Lehigh County Chapter and participated in chapter, area and regional parliamentary procedure contests. He is also _active in the Boy Scouts. - Sis future plans point toward owning and operating his own sheep operation. Schaffer, Rl.Emmaus. ~ Her tximxnittee assignments at the Eehigh County Chapter have included citrus sale, Trexler Mall display, BOAC, Chapter Farm and Home Show and the Allentown Fair. She has taken part in various speech contests. In addition to earning her Greenhand and Chapter'Degrees, she has won first placings in project book awards for two years 0 Gail Schaeffer at the Allentown Fair and served as Chairperson of the Citrus Sale Committee.
