During his FFA career he was named Star Greenhand and won awards in ag production, swine production, vegetable production, seeds and fruits. He has served as chairman of the banquet, swine, administration, rabbit and recreation committees, as well as a member of fruit, van, budget, dues, scrapbook, beef, sheep, farm show, cleanup and seed groups. He plans to go into partnership eventually on the family farm. He enjoys hunting and fishing and collecting anything with a picture of a pig on it.
