Adam, R 2, Hamburg, has had projects ranging from a dairy herd of eight, veal calves, beef finishing and swine finishing to 15 acres of silage com and 10 acres of alfalfa hay,. He has served on committees dealing with banquet, float, win- dow exhibit, high citrus sales, as as chairman of the FF A picnic CJgroup. He is serving as secretary of his chapter. He has received awards in ag mechanics, dairy proficiency and swine production. Among his many other activities ' are membership in the Zion United Church of Christ Windsor Castle and Youth Fellowship, Berks 4-H swine and baby beef clubs, Berks County Junior Holstein Club, 4-H County Council, Virginville Grange and its Youth Group. In addition to being a county and state Grange member, he is vice president of the Virginville dairy and swine 4-H clubs. Todd Miller . Hamburg Area Chapter Hamburg Area High Todd Miller, 16, is the son of Ernest and Joyce Miller, R 2, Hamburg. His FFA projects have included those in dairy, swine, banquet preparation and float. He has served as vice president of his chapter and reporter for the Berks County FFA. For his FFA work he has been honored with both his chapter’s Star Greenland and Star Chapter Farmer awards. Also, he has served as 4-H president and participates in track, bowling and volleyball. In the future, he plans to enter into a partnership with his father and brother. His main hobby is hang gliding. Terry Adam Kutztown Chapter Brandywine Heights High "The projects of Terry L. Adam, Terry Adam son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Adam, Home Street, Mertztown, have included swine breeding and finishing, home garden and broilers. He has chaired committees concerning chapter creed contest, chain animals and banquet. In addition, he has served on the float, project tours, BOAC, poultry, dues and Food for America committees. During the past three years, he has won numerous awards in various competition at area fairs and shows. 'Among these awards are those in showing and fitting, market hogs, various vegetables and project record book at the Kutztown and Allentown Fairs, as well as the Berks County Hog Show. He has participated in project tours and educational trip, citrus, seed and sandwich sales, Farm Show trip and tree planting. He is a member of Huff’s United Church of Christ. Following graduation, he plans to work on the family farm or rent his own ground. Hunting and fishing are among his hobbies.
