Bill Byers, speaker for the evening, presented a talk on energy conservation in the home. Plans were made for a trip to Longwood Gardens in December. Mrs. David Buckwalter and Mrs. Christ Greider will attend the state convention as delegates for Society The next meeting will be December 12. Lancaster Co. Lancaster Society 13 met receiitly at the home of Mrs. Joseph Ganse. Crafts were the project for the evening. Everyone made a Holly Hobby doll with a clothespin. Final plans were made for the family Christmas dinner to be held at the Ronks Fire Hall, Saturday evening, December 12. Ruth Eby had charge of devotional tune. A slide presentation on China was enjoyed by the group. The annual Christmas party will be held at the home of Vera Frey, Marietta Rl, December 19, at 6:30 p.m. Husbands and friends will be entertained. Members will bring one hot dish, one cold dish, and their own place settings. The special speaker will be Mr. Saylor. The annual Christmas social and December meeting will be held at the home of Peg Barrett on December 12 starting at 10 a.m. Lancaster Co. Society 28 Lancaster Society 28 recently met for their November meeting at the home of Mrs. Jacob Bare. For roll call, each member responded by naming their most appreciated appliance. A microwave demonstration was presented by a representative from the General Electric Com pany. The December 12 meeting will be held at the Bird-m-Hand Motor Inn for a Christmas banquet with husbands as guests. Lancaster Co, Society 3 Lancaster Society 3 met recently at Salem Lutheran Church in Ephrata. Thirty-five members attended. Members will go Christmas carolling to shut-in members on December 11, leaving the Cloister Diner at 6 p.m. Carollers will be entertained at the home of Mrs. Gladys Paul following the evening. Three delegates will attend the convention in Harrisburg. They are: Ruth Shaub, Mildred Pfautz, and Barbara Wenger. Speaker for the evening was Ellen Badgers from Blue Ball.
