The show was judged by Dick McDonald, from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Bureau of Markets. Both the Grand and Reserve Grand Champion Lamb were shown by , Marty Clemmer, Marion. The champion, weighing 94 lbs., was purchased by Bierly’s Meat Market, Boalsburg, Pa. for $1,60 per pound. The Reserve Champion, also weighing 94 lbs., was purchased by E.L.M. Feeds* Greencastie, for, $1 per lb. Meyers. Implement Co., Greencastie, purchased the heavyweight champion, shown by Julie Dice.-Greencastle, tor $1.20 a lb. The 'medium heavy weight Thomasville 4-H meets SPRING GROVE - The October 27 meeting of the I’homasville 4-H Club was held at-the 4-H Center near Bair , Due to the weather, the planned hayride and hot dog roast was changed to a night ot indoor games. Club members cited tor out standing 4-H work in 1981 at the County Achievement Day were. The 31 lambs sold, averaged 96 lbs. and sold tor the average price of |96.94 per hundred weight. In Fitting & Showing Com petition, Cindy Donough was declared Grand Champion while Julie Dice was the Reserve Grand Champion. On October 24 the club members took a Held trip to see the ice Capades at the Hershey Arena. The club provided the bus and lunch. The next meeting will be a covered dish supper and Club Achievement Night on Saturday, November 21.
