Limousin cattle will once again be featured in the first regularly scheduled event during Denver’s National Western. “The Best Ever” National Limousin Show and Sale will lead off the 1982 National Western with the show of the sale cattle at 8 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13. At 11:30 a.m., the Limouselles, the Limousin auxilliary, will meet at the Regency Hotel followed at 1 p.m. by the National Limousin Queen Contest. Limousin Foundation members and other interested cattle producers can attend meetings the afternoon of Jan. 13 beginning with open committee meetings at 2 and finishing with an open board of directors meeting and the annual business meeting at 4 p.m. At S;3O the evening of the opening day of Del. irrigation conference coming Nov. NEWARK, Del. - This year’s Delaware Irrigation Conference will be held Tuesday, November 24, at the Sheraton Inn in Dover. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for registration and a visit to exhibits. The program will start at 9:30 and end at 3:30 p.m. Highlights of the meeting will be a talk by Florida Extension agronomist Dave Wnght on a production system for 200 bushel com, and a presentation by New Jersey Extension agronomist Roy Flannery on his ' experience growing 312 bushel com and 94 bushel soybeans. Junior Limousin breeders will start, activities Thursday, Jan. 14 at 8 a.m. with a Junior Limousin Heifer Show. The heifer show will be followed at noon by the selection of the champion steer. At 2 p.m., “The Best Ever” National Limousin Sale will take place in the Stadium Arena. The 12-year-old National Limousin Sale has highlighted the stock show for many cattle producers and entries indicate the quality of cattle consigned should make it one of the best. Following the sale, the Limouselles will hold their second Style Show in the National Western Club. Activities for Friday, Jan. 15 will begin at 7 a.m. with the second annual National Limousin Open Show.
