    Water legislation to highlight Thursday’s PEC
PHILADELPHIA Governor
Dick Thornburgh will be the
principal speaker at lunch' at the
Pennsylvania Environmental
Council’s 13th Annual' Meeting on
"Managing Pennsylvania’s Water
Resources”, Thursday, October 29,
at the Sheraton Penn' State Inn,
State College.
The Governor will speak on his
proposed water resources
management code.and about the
Referendum on the* $3OO million
bond issue for water related
projects,"which will been the ballot
at the November 3rd election.
Other key speakers at the
Conference, which runs from 10
a.m. to 3:30 p.m., will be the
Honorable R. Harry Bittle,
chairman of the House Con
servation Committee, who will
deliver comments as the chief
legislative spokesman for the
proposed hills, (H 81483 and 1484),
