D6—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, October 17,1981 Pa, exhibitors win in KILE HARRISBURG The Open and Junior Steer Shows at the Keystone International Livestock Exposition held Sunday at the Farm Show Complex found a number of Pennsylvania exhibitors leading champion entries. The reserve grand champion steer of the junior show went to an entry of Bethene Summers of Bloomsburg, Columbia County. Summers’ entry was also reserve champion in the open show. The reserve champion steer of the junior show was exhibited by Blaine Clouser of Dayton, Arm strong County. Clouser’s entry had previously been named the reserve champion steer in the heavyweight competition. Brenton Upperman of Cham bersburg, Franklin County, showed both the champion and reserve champion of the mid dleweight division. In the lightweight division, Kaye Sweigard of Halifax, Dauphin County, showed the champion steer, while Dauphin Countian Tun Foreman of Hershey exhibited the reserve champion lightweight steer. Kevin Kropp of Troy, Ohio, exhibited the grand champion steer of the show, winning champion open steer and junior champion. During the junior steer com petition, Jane Prouty of Norwich, Ohio, exhibited the champion steer of the junior show. Her steer won the heavyweight class. Judging this year’s show was A. L. Eller, Jr. of Blackburg, Virginia.
