There are some mean, rough tunes ahead,’’ cautioned Ralph L. Lewis, Jr., corporate , communications director for Gulf Oil Corporation. Speaking at the PennAg Industries Association convention held here recently, Lewis told his audience of aignbusmessmen that Americans consume their weight in oil every three days. Lewis spoke on the frustrations of drilling for oil, with success occurring only once in every nine wells drilled. He explained that the United States, Canada, and Australia control the food supplies' of the world and that food will be a factor in international politics in the! near future. Wright remarked that while genetic engineering will not be the answer for everything, he believes that it will have tremendous ap plication for agriculture in the future.
