Eller, Jr. of Blacksburg, Virginia, awarded the reserve senior champion heifer rosette to Joseph Messick’s senior entry, M.F. Miss Josie. Messick’s September 1980 heifer calf, Joy, was named reserve calf champion. She, too, is a Renz H 772 daughter out of Dutchess 11. • Another Pennsylvania Sim mental breeder exhibited a champion in the bull competition. RRF Superstar Sam, shown by Rolling Ridge Farms of Karns City, Butler County,* was tagged bull calf champion. Sam is a CSV Achilles Superstar son out of Ms Roundup 38H. The grand champion heifer trophy and several champion bull rosettes were awarded to entries of Johnny Reb Farms, Inc. of Charlottesville, Virginia. Before taking the grand female honors, Johnny Reb's Lady M 267 was selected as the junior champion. Bull entries, all bearing the farm prefix, took the reserve grand, junior and reserve junior cham pionships. The November 1979 junior bull, Pride, took the top junior honors before placing next to the grand champion bull. The reserve grand champ is sired by Johnny Reb’s Pride PBI7.
