Her winning February barrow earned the 4-year FFA veteran her first York Fair hog championship, further whetting the goal she’s set- to someday operate her own hog farm. Closer goals for Sheri include exhibiting at the Pennsylvania Farm Show swine competition, and plans to make a second try at the York Fair next year. ' She resides with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Johnson, R 1 Delta, and also is pursuing FFA projects in ag mechanics. Hon Wilson, 16 and a junior at Kennard-Dale, earned the reserve champion FFA hog honors. Roy B. Mummert Livestock, R 1 Brodbecks, was final bidder on the reserve winner, paying 70 cents per pound for the 215-pound Duroc market entry. The son ot Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilson, R 2 New Freedom, Ron is a 3-year member ot the FFA program, and has been exhibiting hogs in 4-H since he was eight years old. Today he owns some 30 animals in his swine herd, some Durocs and some Yorkshires.
