Dick Thornburgh, „ Agricultural Secretary Penrose Halloweli and officials of the Department of Transportation were joined by local leaders in the inspection of a bndge replacement project in Jefferson Center, Butler County on Friday. “This new bndge is a symbol of this administration’s commitment to providing rural Pennsylvanians with the best possible tran sportation system,” Thornburgh said. “Nothing is more detrimental to our state’s economy than any bridge, regardless of size, which is closed or weight-limited. This bridge will provide agricultural businesses in particular with a link for the movement of their goods and services.” The $169,279 project began July 27 and will be completed by the end of September under a contract to Thomas A.
