York sheep producers
YORK Trading ideas, getting
help with problems and making
new friends were just some of the
things the York County Sheep and
Wool Producers gathered to do last
Saturday at the York Fiddlers
Association picnic grounds.
The idea for the picnic according
to Susan Dutrey, executive
secretary of the association was to
“provide the members a place to
get together, meet one another,
and eat some good bar-b-q young
lamb.”
The approximate 100 sheep
producers in attendance polished
off four young lambs donated by
Honey Valley Farm in Dallstown.
The lambs were roasted over an
open charcoal fire, with nothing
but salt to flavor the meat.
