C42—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, April 25,1981 150 attend FFA banquet FAWN GROVE The members of the Kennard-Dale FFA held their annual Parent-Member Banquet recently in the Kenndard- Dale High School cafeteria A family style roast beef dinner was served to about 150 people The Chapter officers planned and took part in the banquet program with Chapter President, Earl Issenock, serving as the toastmaster Corsages were presented to Cathy McGeorge, Chapter Sweetheart, for the past year, and Debbie Bunting, newly-elected Chapter Sweetheart James Haller, Chapter Chaplain, gave the Invocation and Greg Fantom, Chapter Vice-President, gave the welcome John Marsteller Jr., the Sentinel, introduced the special guests Mark Flaharty, Chapter Treasurer, presented the sales awards tp individual high salesman in the year’s fund raising activities Flower bulb awards were presented to Mike Wells, Delta, high salesman: Randy Sisemore, Delta, second place; and Jeff Kohler, Stewartstown, third place. Citrus sales award winners were high salesman, Ron Wilson, New Freedom, second place; Todd Warner, Airville; and third place, Brian Zimmerman, Fawn Grove. Garden seed sales winners were Brian Channel!, high salesman. New Park; second place, John Marsteller, Jr., Stewartstown, and third place, Todd Warner, Stewartstown. An Honorary Chapter Farmer degree was conferred by the of ficer team on Lee Manifold, of M & R Equipment, New Park. James Sigler, representing Production Credit, presented the Production Credit Award to John Marsteller Jr. David Allen, Ralph Travis and Charles Wnght, vo-ag instructors, presented several awards earned by members during the past year. Recognized for receiving their York County FFA degree, the White Rose Degree, were Brian Channel!, Greg Fantom, Mark Flaharty, Ben Hushon, Donald Little and Brian Zimmerman. Twenty-seven members were recognized for placing m the York County FFA Project Book Contest held in January. Medals were presented to project book winners in the State Project Book Contest. Jim Godfrey, and David Clegg for the Parliamentary Procedure Team Honorable Mention to Greg Fantom, Dairy Judging Gold Keystone Farmer Charms were presented to the two mem bers elected to the highest degree in Pennsylvania Receiving charms were Earl Isennook and John Marsteller Jr Chapter Foundatio Awards were presented to the following students. Awards to outstanding members included Scott Cooper, Star Greenhand; Earl Isennook, Chapter Star Agribusmessman, and John Marsteller, Chapter Star Farmer. Larry Seits, of Stewartstown Mill, presented the Dekabl Award to John Marsteller Jr., son of Mr. & Mrs. John Marsteller Sr., R 3, Stewartstown. The banquet concluded with drawings for door prizes conducted by John Knck, Chapter Parliamentarian, Penny Bowser, Chapter Secretary, Cathy McGeorge, Chapter Sweetheart, and Ben Hushon, Chapter Reporter.
