4-H news
Thomasville 4-H
EAST RERUN - Members of
the Thomasville 4-H -Community
Club exhibit committee will meet
at 7.30 p.m. March 18 at the home
of Mike Welsh, Rl, East Berlin to
prepare the club’s exhibit for the 4-
H Expo being held April 3 and 4 at
the Delco Plaza.
In addition to the county 4-H
exhibit contest being held at the
Expo, there will be a petting zoo
and a fashion show.
Members of the club held their
February meeting in the form of a
skating party with over 4-H’ers
from the entire county. Three
hundred fifty 4-H’ers and their
families attended the event
Food for the 4-H Auction
scheduled for 6 p.m. March 20 will
be prepared and served by the
Thomasville 4-H club The auction
will be held at the York County 4-H
Center, near Bair.
The public auction will feature a
special Junior Auction at 7:30 p.m
for anyone 16 years of age and
under in the small meeting room of
the 4-H center where toys and
other fun items will be sold for the
young people to bid on and buy
The next meeting of the club will

North Jersey youth conference
FLEMINGTON, NJ - The
North Jersey Teen Youth Con
ference will be held March 20 to 21
at the Travel Lodge in Somerset,
NJ. 4-H teens have planned and
organized this conference with the
assistance of 4-H staff. It is open to
any teen whether a 4-H member or
non 4-H member.
The purpose of the conference is
to provide teenagers the op
portunity to speak out on issues
affecting today’s youth; to discuss
their concerns with resource
people brought in to provide
direction for 10 to 15 workshops on
Saturday of the conference. This
year’s conference theme is “Let it
Begin with Me.”
Tentative workshops scheduled
during the conference are: “Sex &
You,” “Values,” “Non-Verbal
