A3o—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, March 7,1981 BY JANE BRESEE Staff Correspondent TOWANDA The Lions 4-H Leader Dog Puppy Program was officiaiJy adopted for the first time in Bradford County at a recent dinner meeting held at the Elks Club here Representatives from each of the eight Lions Clubs gave their enthusiastic nod Mrs Jody Sweeney, 4-H coor dinator of the Leader Dog Puppy Program and the featured speaker at the Lions Club meeting, ex plained that the Leader Dog Puppy Program was started in Penn sylvania in 1978 Five German Shepherd female dogs, carefully chosen for temperment and con with Duane Fay, district coordinator of the Lions 4-H Leader Dog Puppy Program at a recent meeting of Bradford County Lions. Levetta Roof, Bradford County 4-H agent, is organizing a special 4H Leader Dog Puppy Club in preparation for puppies to arrive in the county the last of May.
