E22—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, February 28,1981 Charolais Spring moving to Virginia MORRISVILLE - Leßoy Myers, president of the Colonial Charolais Association, has an nounced a new location for the 15th annual Colonial Charolais Spring Sale This sale will be held at the Farmers’ Livestock Exchange at Win chester, Virginia, on Saturday, April 25. From 1972 through 1980, the Colonial Charolais Spring Sale was held at the Far mers’ Livestock Ex change, Boonsboro, Maryland During the past year, the facility has been altered for other purposes by its new owners thus necessitating this move to Winchester, Virginia. Ranked nationally as the top Association bull sale in the entire country, the 1981 Colonial Charolais Spring Sale will feature 25 Charolais bulls ranging in age from 18 months to 27 months. These bulls have been screened at the owners’ farms by the Colonial Sale Committee, and they will also be in dividually classified on sale morning by the official classifier, Randall Updike of Washington, Virginia, using the Colonial Association’s own classification system The 15th Colonial Charolais Spring Sale also will offer 45 Charolais females of foundation quality selected individually by the Colonial Sale Committee from their members’ herds.
