C34—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, February 14,1981 ITHACA, NY— Forty-five or more performance tested bulls will be offered at the New York State Bull Test Sale at 7 p.m. May I at the Livestock Pavilion on the Cornell University campus at Ithaca The bulls will have completed a 140 day test under uniform con ditions at Cornell’s research center at Harford All of the bulls are registered and will be available for service on a limited basis this summer Forty-three breeders have 71 bulls enrolled in the test Those offered for the May 1 sale will have met certification requirements as to 140 day gam ration and weight per day of age ratio as well as a minimum frame score (three for British breeds and five for Con tinental breeds) A committee will have appraised each bull for structural soundness and a Cornell veterinarian will have examined each bull for breeding soundness including rectal and scrotal palpitation and scrotal circumference measurement Following the final weigh-in April 20 and 21 all performance information will be catalogued and Lancaster District to meet LANCASTER The Lancaster County Conservation District will hold its cooperators meeting and banquet on Thursday evening, March 19 The annual gathering will be held at the Harvest Drive Motel and Restaurant, Intercourse Affair begins at 6 30p.m Guest speaker for the evening will be John R. The Bull Test gives the producer an opportunity to have his bull evaluated for economically im portant and genetic improving traits under uniform conditions.
