following officers of the Bucks
County 4-H Development Fund
Committee President, Tina
Barrows of Ottsville; Vice
President, Tom Tomlinson of
Newtown; Secretary, Nancy
Hottle, Coopersburg; and
Treasurer, Matt Haist, Ivyland
Barrows has been active in the 4-
H program for nine years, having
serving as Organizational Leader
of the Ottsville 4-H Club for seven
years. Her past project in
volvement has been in Indoor and
Outdoor Gardening, Design with
Texture, Cake Decorating and
other associated crafts.
She has served on the Regional
Advisory and Review Committee,
and has participated in county,
regional, state and national 4-H

Bucks County elects 4-H Fund officers
events as a speaker and program
coordinator

Mrs. Barrows is involved in in
clude the Doylestown Nature Club
as Vice President and a tour guide
at Fonthill She presently serves on
the Executive Committee of the
Extension Service and is active
with their WEFS group, respon
sible for their annual scholarship
award
Tomlinson, a sophomore
majoring in ornamental hor
ticulture and landscaping at
Delaware Valley College, is
president of the college band and
has been a member of the
Wnghtstown 4-H Club for eight
years, being president from 1979-
80.
He then became 4-H County
Council President and received the
coveted Clover Award and “I Dare
You” Award, given annually to the
. ‘
outstanding county member
He has participated in all
leadership projects, given
demonstrations and speeches on
county and state levels and been a
member of the third place team in
State 4-H competition on vegetable
judging.
Hottle, leader of the Spurs N’
Burrs 4-H Horse and pony Club for
9 years, has served on the Advisory
and Review Committee and as
Upper Bucks Representative for 4-
H and has been active in the county
program in many functions, as a
resource person, project coor
dinator and judge i dog
obedience, rabbit production,
cavies and small pets.
She has served as coach of the
County 4-H horse bowl team, which
in 1980 won first place in regional
and state and seventh in national
competition.
Mrs. Hottle is a member of the
Cooks Creek Watershed
Association, and secretary of the

Club
Haist, leader of the Richboro
Community Club of 4-H, has been
in that capacity for 14 years, being
responsible for overseeing the
largest 4-H Club in the county. He
has been a member of the Ex
tension Executive Committee for
26 years and a director for 30 years
of the Philadelphia Vegetable
Growers' Ass’n and received the
prestigious Master Farmer of
Garden Spot Young Farmers to meet
BLUE BALL The Garden Spot
Young Farmer Association will
hold its annual banquet this
coming Friday, February 13.
The dinner meeting will begin at
6 45 pm. at the Blue Ball Fire
Hall
In addition to the usual dinner
and awards, this year there will be
a special program on deer.
