For the fourth year a Kuzemchak entry was selected as the grand champion Junior market lamb. That’s not too bad considering this is only the fifth year of competition for Julie at the Farm Show The grand champion tapped by judge G. Monte Chappell, of Lexington, Ky. was a Hampshire in the light heavyweight class Altogether, the Richard Kuzemchak family, who have been breeding and showing for six years, Farm Show names small grain winners FARM SHOW - Grant Grim of Rl, Bremigsville, Lehigh County, captured the championship in wheat judging competition at the 65th Farm Show. Roy Klemfelter of R 3, Lebanon, Lebanon County, exhibited the champion sample of oats and Larry Shelmire of Rl, Quakertown, Bucks County, exhibited the champion barley sample In soybean competition, Charles Ackley, Jr of Rl, Lititz, Lancaster County, showed the champion Pa. Rural Electric wins President’s energy award HARRISBURG - In recognition of its out standing energy con servation accomplishments, President Jimmy Carter has informed the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association of its selection as recipient of the President’s Award for Energy Efficiency. The Award is presented to private organizations who are leaders in the fields of residential, transportation, and agricultural energy conservation Recipients are chosen based on their suc cess in implementing specific programs to reduce energy waste in America brought just four sheep to the Farm Show All were winners In addition to the grand champion in junior market lambs, they had the heavyweight class champion in the same competition, the carcass champion and a reserve champion in the open Southdown ram competition. The reserve grand championship in market lambs was won by Barbara Herr, R 2, Narvon. Lightweight class champion was Joyce Harp ster, Boalsborg, and the reserve title went to Elaine Heffner, Fleetwood.
