HOW DOES PURINA STARLIODE
COMPLETE WORK?
Starlicide contains a painless, slow-acting posion.
Starlings eat the combination bait and poison and fly
away to die at their roosting place or on the way. A very
low percentage actually die at the baiting site as the
poison takes as much as three days to work. Birds do
not become bait-shy because of the slow-acting
properties of this poison. One baiting may last up to
three days and one to three baitings usually reduces
the pest flock substantially.
DO DEAD BIRDS POSE A PROBLEM?
As previously mentioned, you will find very few
poisoned birds at the bait site. And because only ten
percent of the lethal compound is retained in its original
form in the starling body, they are not dangerous to
animals eating the dead birds. Predators including
domestic dogs and cats are not affected. In laboratory
tests, hawks have actually gained weight on diets of
poisoned starlings. However; it’s recommended that
dead birds be picked up at the bait site.

COSTING
MONEY
Starlings cost you big money in terms of feed wastage.
1,000 starlings can consume nearly 100 dollars worth
of feed in a single winter. And flocks of as many as
several hundred thousand birds are common
Starlings are carriers of a number of profit-robbing
diseases including TGE (transmissible gastroenteritis)
Starlings foul up feeders, water tanks, troughs and
fences, costing you even more time and money.
Purina Starlicide Complete has been proven effective
when used as directed.
ARE
YOU
Starlicide Complete is selective for starlings. It is more
toxic to starlings than to other wild birds. The pelleted
bait is also more readily taken by starlings than by
other birds. Starlicide is effective in controlling
blackbirds.
