All calves sold were graded by Lester Burdette, Penn State University Livestock Specialist. Top selling calf was an Angus consigned by Debra Krause, Slatington, that graded 15 plus. Jesse Terry, owner of J V Polled Herefords, Douglasville donated a registered Polled Hereford heifer sired by Gamer BT LI King Dom,s9H to the sale, all proceeds going mto the 4-H Fund This calf, born April 21st sold for $570 Amther sizable donation came from Spring Bottom Farm, Fairfield This consignor also sold a registered Polled Hereford heifer born January 10,1980, donating all proceeds over $6OO to the 4-H Community Center fund. The calf which was sired by Royal Liege sold for $B5O. Spring Bottom Farm also gave the buyer the option of havmg the h«>ifer bred to any of Spring Bottoms herd sires The sale averaged $467 97 per calf sold for a total of $14,975 Seven percent of this amount was donated to the 4- H fund resulting in a total donation of $1,726 25 Kenneth Lieby, Auc tioneer, donated his time and services to the sale as well.
