LANCASTER - The
Lancaster County Red Rose
Chapter of the Future
Farmers of America
recently held their fall
leadership training con
ference. The conference is
designed to better the
leadership abilities of the
chapter officers throughout
the county.
The conference, which was
held at the Eastern Lan
caster County Alternative
School, began in mid
afternoon After registration
everyone broke into groups
according to chapter offices
and went to their respective
sessions
The county FFA had

County FFA holds leadership
several guest speakers.
Guests included; Larry
Shrawder, State FFA
President; Judy Zim
merman, State FFA
Secretary, and Dick
Anglestem, a staff writer for
Lancaster Farming.
After the sessions the
officers returned to the mam
auditorium to sit m on the
freshman quiz contest. In
this contest entries were
quizzed on their knowledge
of the FFA, its practices and
history. Tim Pfautz took
first m the contest and Bob
Leicy was the runner-up.
The group then adjourned
to the New Holland Fire Hall
to enjoy a family style ham

chapter. The award is given
to an individual in the
community or school ad
ministration who has been a
strong supporter of the
chapter. The following in
