Hughes, ad ministrator of the US. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Ser vice. Hughes said the export total for the fiscal year which ended Sept. 30 was up $8.5 billion, or 27 percent, from fiscal year 1979 and record high for the eleventh straight year. At the same time, he noted substantial gams in the export volume for such key items as wheat, feed grains, the soybean complex, and cotton. The figures, released last week, show export values increased for all commodity categories.
