Their news is as follows: CHERRYVILLE 4-H CLUB HOI Twenty garments were made by the members of the Cherryville Homemakers 4- H Club for the Needlework Guild of America, Those making clothes were: Shirley & Dons Lefebvre, Encka Zipfel, Betty Benedik and Cathy Pnes. Four members and three leaders attended the 4-H Achievement Dinner held last month. Congratulations go to the club county medal winners: Shirley Lefebvre, Clothing, Arts & Crafts, & Safety; Ruth Stehr, Clothing & Fashion Revue; Betty Benedik, Clothing and Citizenship; and Encka Zipfel, Fashion Revue. The club also received the fourth place award in the County 4- H Scrapbook Contest. A demonstration on “Pattern Layout” was given by Cathy Pnes to the Pins N Needles 4-H Club at their last meeting, says, Cathy Pries, Club Reporter. PINS N NEEDLES 4-H CLUB The Pins N Needles 4-H Club met twice during the month of October. Members made Herbs & Spices Plaques at their first meeting as part of their Arts N Crafts projects for this year. A business meeting was held during their second meeting. A demonstration on “Pattern Layout” was given by Cathy Pries, a member of the Cherryville Homemaker’s 4-H Club for the members. The Holiday Workshop and committees for their Christmas party were discussed. Frosty snowflakes were made by the members for the Hobday Workshop, to be held on November 21 at the Ex tension Center. Members will leam how to thread a bobbin at their next meeting to be hem ai Uie Gronsky residence in Hampton on November 10, notes, Tanya Gronsky, Club Reporter. GOATGANG 4-H CLUB The members of the Goat Gang 4-H Club held elections of officers for the coming year at their last meeting. The results were- President, Margie Van Duyne; Vice- President, Jeffrey Peck; Secretary, Janet Hartman; Treasurer, Jenny Edwards. Two new members, Karen Malerba and Alison Ed wards joined the club. A demonstration on Selecting a Breeding Buck was given by Thomas Hartman. Members are asked to bring their veterinary supply kits to their next meeting, set for November 22, 2:00 pjn. at the Peck residence in Delaware Township. A demonstration on Basic Goat Health will be given, according to reporter, Janet Hartman. MT. AIRY DAIRY 4-H CLUB Three new members joined the Mt. Airy Dairy 4-H Club at the last meeting: Paul Hunt, Bruce Hockenbury and John Shawemaker. Their officers for the BWH year are: President, Charles Fisher; Vice-President, Karen Long; Secretary, Gretchen Kuehn; Assistant Secretary, Susan Kuehn; Corresponding Secretary, Janet Totten; and Treasurer, Kurt Hocken bury. Representing the club at the Dairy Council will be: Gretchen Kuehn, Karen Long and Kurt Hockenbury. Alternates are. Janet Totten, Charles Fisher, and George Perehmys David Hunt and Susan Kuehn are on the Welfare Committee. Their next meeting will be Family Night with a demonstration on “Feed Ingredients.” It will be held at the Extension Center on Friday, November 21 at 8:00 p.m., reports, David Hunt, Club Reporter. HERDSMEN DAIRY 4-H CLUB Officers of the Herdsmen Dairy 4-H Club for the coming year are: President, Laura Domin; Vice- President, Ralph Harrison; Secretary, Martha Voorhees; Treasurer, Donna Kuzmiskas, and Club Reporter, Susan Kuzmiskas. Members worked on their record books and practiced dairy judging at their last meeting. Plans for a future dairy workshop were also discussed.
