Rodman Myers of Thur mont and Master of the Maryland State Grange says everything is moving for ward for a sucessful session. Frederick County Pomona Grange will serve as the host grange. Wyoming County agent wins national award TUNKHANNOCK - Robert Hobbes, Wyoming County Agent, has been working harder than usual recently, making sure there is a supply of trained people to fill agriculture positions of the future. Because of Hobbes’ ef forts, and other agents like him, enrollment in the nation’s agriculture colleges is on the rise. As a result, Hobbes has been honored at the National Association of County Agricultural Agents dinner in Oklahoma City, as one of eight Career Guidance winners in 1960. The award is earned by county agents who are best at originating and developing career guidance programs related to agriculture for "the young people in their communities. He has worked, for example, with Wyoming County eighth grade guidance teachers en couraging them to use the package to supplement their own teaching program.
