Field Crops
The son of Mr. and Mrs.
Rodman Thompson, Roy is a
senior at the Spring Grove
High School. He has been a 4-
H member for nine years.
A member of the
Thomasville and Central
Dairy Clubs. Roy served as
president, vice president,
treasurer, news reporter,
and teen leader.
The state field crops
contest winner completed
projects in field crops,
handyman, riflery, dairy,
and tractor maintenance.
Locally, he took part in the
4-H exchange program,
tours, Rural Life Sunday,
county auction, and officers
training.

300 volunteer leaders par
ticipating in the observation
of National 4-H Week Oc
tober 5-11.
The leaders and teen
leaders will be honored at a
banquet on Saturday
evening, October 11.
The public is invited to
attend the annual
Achievement Day, October
19, at the York County 4-H
Center at Bair. This will
begin at 2:00 p.m. and is
open to the public.

The state poultry contest
winner completed projects
in poultry, rabbits, sewing,
foods, and nutrition, gar
dening, crafts, and public
speaking.
Locally, she took part in
the 4-H demonstration day,
4-H fashion revue, day
camp, Olympics, roundup,
and fair.
Marcia also participated
in the Regional 4-H
Demonstration Contest,
State 4-H Capital Days, and
State 4-H Achievement
Days.
“Club work has enabled
