She has been a 4-H member for eight years. A member of the Loganville 4-H Club, she served as president, secretary, treasurer, and county council vice president. She also assisted with club activities and events as a teen leader. The state photography contest winner completed projects, in photography, teen leadership, foods and nutrition, gardening, health and crafts. Locally, Linda took part in the 4-H day camp, fair, demonstration day, officers framing, and exchange program. She also participated in the Regional 4-H Demon stration Day, District 4-H Camp, Regional 4-H Fashion Revue, State 4-H Capital Days, Pennsylvania 4-H Leadership Congress, State 4-H Achievement Days, and National Junior Horticulture Convention. In 1980, she was elected as York County’s 4-H Queen. She has been a 4-H member for nine years. A member of the Glen Rock 4-H Club and York County Lamb dub, Laurie served as president, recreation leader, historian, news reporter, teen leader, secretary, and treasurer. The state wood science contest winner completed projects in handyman, teen leadership, sheep feeding and breeding, crewel, quilling, health, wood car ving, and ceramics. Locally, she took part in 4- H demonstration night, fair, livestock judging, day camp, exchange program, and Olympics.
