Each of the winners will receive an expense-paid trip to the National 4-H Congress . in Chicago, November 30- December 4 and compete for awards at the national level in the 1960 4-H National Awards Program. Members receiving awards include; Adams County Joyce Zepp Dairy Foods The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Zepp, Joyce is a freshman at MiUersville State College. She has been a 4-H member for nine years. A member of the Heidlersburg 4-H Club, and Adams County Dairy Calf Club, she served as president, secretary, treasurer, and news reporter. She also assisted with club activities and events as a teen leader. The state dairy foods contest winner completed projects m dairy foods, dairy calf, home improvement, clothing, and teen leader ship. Locally, Joyce took part in the 4-H roundup, achievement night, officers training, fair, and county senate. She also participated in District 4-H Camp, Regional 4-H Teen Leaders Retreat, State 4-H Achievement Days, and Pennsylvania 4-H Leadership Congress. Commenting on the values of the educational youth program, Joyce said: “Through 4-H, I have learned skills that I can continue to use throughout my life. She has been a 4-H member for seven years and was veterinary science winner. A member of the Me- Sherrystown 4-H Club and Adams County Dairy Calf Club, Karen served as president, secretary, news reporter, game leader, senator, and teen leader. The state veterinary science contest winner completed projects in veterinary science, dairy, citizenship, clothing, and teen leadership. Locally, she took part in 4- H day camp, roundup, tours, fair, and exchange program. Karen also participated in Regional 4-H Demonstration Day, State 4-H Achievement Days, Farm Show, District 4-H Camp, and Citizenship Short Course. Maisbury, Judy is a student at the Reading Community College, and has been a member for 10 years. A member of the Rehrersburg 4-H Club, she served as president, assistant secretary, treasurer, game leader and teen leader. The state food preser vation contest winner completed projects in foods and nutrition, clothing, home improvement, gardening, teen leadership, babysitting, bicycling, design with color and careers. Locally, Judy took part in the county 4-H day, officers training, Woodburners Expo, farm-city tour, achievement night, and demonstration day. She also participated in Regional 4-H Dress Revue, Teen Ambassador Weekend, Regional 4-H Teen Recreation Weekend, Pennsylvania 4-H Leader ship Congress, Citizenship Short Course, and State 4-H Achievement Days. Commenting on the values of the educational youth program, Judy said: “4-H has helped me to become more self-reliant and responsible. It will help me in the future as a homemaker and businesswoman.” The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel A. Yoder, Danielle is a senior at Hamburg Area High School. She has been a 4-H member for nine years. A member of the Tilden 4- H Club, Danielle served president, vice president, secretary, news reporter, song leader, game leader, and teen leader. The state citizenship contest winner completed projects in sewing, wildlife conservation, bicycling, entomology, crocheting, health, pet care, and veterinary science.
