championship trophy.

Sophia was tagged Senior
Champion and was the first
place and best uddered cow
m her class. She is a
daughter of Round Oak Rag
Apple Elevation.
Adam’s County’s Christine
Gitt, R 2 Littlestown, led her
three-year-old Holstein,
Penn-Gate Jetstar Queen to
a blue ribbon in her class
before taking the Reserve
Senior and Reserve Grand
championships. Gitt also
received recognition as
Master Fitter and Showman.
Steven Kauffman, R 1
Elizabethtown, Lancaster
County, exhibited bis junior
yearling, Penn Spring
Milestone Ada and was
tagged Junior Champion by
Michelle Lusk, 12, of R 2, Charleroi, Washington County, captured the grand
and senior championships in Jersey judging competition at the 25th Penn
sylvania Junior Dairy Show with her 4-year-old cow, “Superbs Roasted Peanut.”
Making the presentation are Pa. Secretary of Agriculture Penrose Hallowell;
Stephanie Kocher, Pa. Jersey Queen and Judge John McKitrick.
Judge Rinehart. Kauffman
was selected as the First
Place Owner-Breeder in his
class, along with being
chosen as Master Fitter and
Showman.
In the colored breed
shows, several local dairy
breeders competed and won
the top honors for their breed
entries.
