B2—Lancaster Fanning, Saturday, August 30,1980 Breckbill, Yoder win top Kutztown BY LAUREL Staff Correspondent KUTZTOWN - FFA members from nine Southeastern Pennsylvania counties gathered with their Ijest dairy animals on August 19 at the Kutztown Fairgrounds, to participate in the 25th ai lAual District Dairy Show. Competing against more than 200 other entries to win the Breeder/Ezhibitor honors was a three-year-old Holstein named, Breck-A-De linda Tippy Sue, owned and exhibited by Ed Breckbill, Oxford, and a three-year-old Milking Shorthorn, Pinesedge GJC. Kizzd, owned and exhibited by Nedra Yoder, Shoemakersville. The Milking Shorthorn breeder/ezhibitor represen ted the best of the colored breeds at the entire show while the Holstein cow represented her breed only, being the largest breed entered with more than 128 entries competing. BreckbiU also exhibited the Grand Champion Holstein, a two-year-old named Twin-Hills Breck Arl De, sired by Soltys Admiral Astronaut, and also led his prize three-year-old to Reserve Champion honors. BreckbiU graduated from Oxford High School in 1978 and has since joined his father and brother in a partnership, operating a Breck-A-De Farm, Oxford. Presently they are milking about 80 registered Holsteins and farming 550 acres. Other Grand Champions of the day were Eureka Hi Kick Christy, a two year old Ayrshire owned and exhibited by Susan Kulp, of Owen J.
