That annual showcase of 4-H project cattle was held at the York Fairgrounds, with judge Jason Myers of West minster, Maryland, placing all the classes. Fourteen-year-old Brian Lehman won the senior and grand champion Guernsey rosettes with Canals D. Doe, a 2-year-old. Lehman is a six-year veteran of dairy exhibiting and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Lehman, Rll, York. Reserve senior and grand winner was Rutter Bros. Pals Faith, Tina Rutter’s five-year-old and a champion in several previous shows. Tina, 18, also took the junior division honors with her senior yearling heifer, Rutter Bros. Pals Wendy, topping her brother Tim’s reserve champion senior calf. Tim and Tina are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Rutter, Lightner Road, York. AD four top Guernsey breed winners are members Senior and grand champion Brown Swiss at the York roundup was won by Mike Welsh, with Jana Beth Fantom earning the reserve senior and grand spot. Ayrshire honors were a toss-up between Scott Cooper, who exhibited the grand champion and reserve junior, and Barry Lehman, with the junior champion animal later selected the reserve grand champion.
