Winners of the senior division judging 4 year old cows were Charles Howard, Tun Neville, Calvm Bacon, and Regina Jackson Official judge was John Howard, 111, Director of Promotion of the State Holstein Association Jack is a native of Bradford County A short business meeting was conducted by Richard Kingsley, president of the board He introduced Lu Ann Shedden, new Bradford holds s County Dairy Princess, who spoke briefly about the promotion of milk Jack Howard was asked to give the news from the state association. “Bob Morris, state staff member, will be leaving to work for the California Holstein Association”, Howard remarked, “and Russell Jones, of Bradford County, will be the chairman for the state convention this fall.” He expressed hope that some Bradford Countians would show cows at the All- American Dairy Show in September. Lynn Miller, state director from Bradford County, told the members that the state association is buying a subscription of the weekly Farmshme newspaper for all its members In return, the state association is gomg to use that newspaper as its weekly news magazine. Orville Yoder, Bradford County Extension agent, announced that the Junior Holstein Club will hold its annual blueberry festival at the Duane Wilcox Farm Augusts. The 4-H Dairy Roundup will be held August 18, the Northeast ChammonshiD Show, August 21; and the 4-H District Dairy Show on August 25. All will be held at the Troy Fair Grounds. His wife, Mary, manages the herd breeding program using mostly ar tificial insemination.
