King -717-786- Imcmtar Ftrumt, Satanlay, A*nt 2,1M0-A35 FLEMINGTON, N.J. - The Central Jersey Holstein Show, open to adult and junior exhibitors, brings together outstanding Holstein cattle of all ages to compete for the ribbons and an assortment of trophies and awards. Show begins at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 8 at the Flemington Fairgrounds. The show features many awards, including a registered Holstein calf, for youth exhibiting at the show. The calf goes to the youngster with the highest composite score based on fitting, showmanship and activities/achievements. The official judge for this show is Jim Shaw, noted Holstein breeder and nationally recognized judge, from Oley, Pa. It will be his job to sort out the cattle as they circle the ring by classes. He’ll place them in order so that ribbons may be awarded. Judging youth for fitting and showmanship will be Mrs. Peggy Hannema, Oxford, former 4-H dairy club member m Warren County and State Dairy Princess of a few years back. Chns Endns, Flemmgton, current Hunterdon Dairy Princess, will present rib bons and trophies during the show. Co-Chairmen for the Central Jersey Holstem Show are George and June Alles, Raritan Township. They are currently assembling the entries for the show booklet. It can be a really in teresting day.
