D.S.T. SMOKETOWN QUALITY DAIRY SALES. SMOKETOWN, PA. Rt. 340, 5 miles East of Lancaster, 5 miles West of Intercourse. There are 47 head of cows, including Ist and 2nd calf heifers. All home raised - calfhood vaccinated. T.B. & Blood tested within 30 days. Last winter this dairyman shipped a ton of milk a day. For the month of May he was shipping 3900 lbs. every two days. Creamery test 3.5-3.9. Herd was sold due to illness of owner. This is a good uddered herd and was never pushed for high production. They are strong rough boned cows that will make good foundation cows for the future. About 75 percent of this herd are due from June to Nov. The rest are strictly fresh or just bred back. Average age of this herd is 4 yr. 1 m. This herd of cows are bred by the Eastern A.I. sires, and out of A.l. sires.
