National rural Electric Cooperative’s educational program. Monday’s itinerary in cluded a tour of the state capitol, a lunch with state legislators and a tour of Peach Bottom Nuclear Plant before continuing to the nation’s capital. During their stay in Washington, D.C., these young people will see their government in action, visit with their congressmen and senators and tour various government agencies and sites of historical significance. The Penn sylvania students will be guests of the congressional delegation at a special luncheon held in their honor on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the group met approximately 1000 young people from 28 states for a program coordinated by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The morning program was a question and answer session with their congressional leaders and governmental officials. After lunch, buses tran sported the students to the South Lawn of the Whit House for a special program requesting a visit with the President and a tour of the presidential mansion. An all states gathering highlighted the evening events.
