Two Ephrata youth win safety awards EPHRATA Tractor and liartn machinery safety awards were presented to two members of the Ephrata Junior High School Agriculture Club for out standing achievement m farm machinery operation. The top two recipients tied for Ist place trophies. They were Tim Lmtz, son of Mr. and Mrs* Roger Lintz of 413 West View Drive, Akron, and Russell Ackley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ackley of R 1 Lititz. l 1 Both cf these individuals attained a score of 60 points in the performance test on skillful and safe operation of farm machinery. The low score wins, with zero being perfect. Operator fault points have been known to go well over 1000. These students also scored high in the written tests on tractor safety and farm machinery safety. Equipment used in ■he performance test was provided by the Adamstown Equipment Company. The winning trophies were sponsored by the Ephrata Area Adult Farmers Association.
