Cedar Crest Young Farmers receive awards SCHAEFFERSTOWN - Awards honoring various production achievements during the past year were presented at the 16th annual banquet of the Cedar Crest Young Farmer Association Tuesday night at the Schaefferstown Fire Hall. First-place award winners in the production categories received plaques. Included among the award categories and recipients were: Com Yield Femdale Farms, R 1 Lebanon, with a yield of 171.1 bushels an acre, first, and Hershey Bare, R 2 Lebanon, 158 6 bushels, second. Hay Quality First Cutting Alfalfa, Richard Bomberger, 1933 S. sth Ave., Lebanon, first, and Femdale Farms, second; Latter Cuttings, Elwood Houser, R 5 Lebanon, first, and Richard Kreider, 1601 Prescott Rd., Lebanon, second. Boxnberger took the grand champion alfalfa award and Femdale Farms was first in the Mixed Hay.
