Western ground water should be adequate WASHINGTON, D.C. - Water supplies should be adequate to excellent for much of the West this summer, according to a coordinated report issued today by the U.S. Depart ment of Agriculture and the National Oceanic and At mospheric Administration. In cooperation with NOAA’s National Weather Service, U.S. Department of Commerce, these data are analyzed and monthly forecasts of runoff and water supplies are issued. Forecasts are based on the assumption that weather during the balance of the winter and spring will be near normal.
