This in ventory includes the evaluation of present land use as it relates to the loss of valuable topsoil, he said. Specific items bemg taken into consideration are stream bank erosion, erosion on construction sites, the loss of soil on farm land, timber potential and the evaluation of wildlife habitat. This broad base mventory is one of the first to be un dertaken in Pennsylvania The study is jointly spon sored by the Dauphin County Conservation District and SCS in cooperatm with Penn State. Information for the evaluation of land use and our natural resources is being taken from ap proxiately 300 locations in Dauphin County.
