C3S—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, May 24,1980 LANSDALB A display of numerous breeds of rabbits and cavies will be one of the featured exhibits at the new Rabbit and Cavy Exposition to be held on Saturday, June 7th, 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Mon tgomery County 4-H Center Fulton to meet QUARRYVILLE - Fulton Grange No. 66 met in regular session recently at the Grange Hall in Oakryn. Mrs. Clifford Holloway 111 announced that the youth committee will hold a game night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Huber, Pleasant Grove Road, Friday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m. Clifford Holloway Jr. repented that the Grange will take a three-day bus trip to the New England States, leaving Quarryville at 6 am. Friday, July 18. The tour will include Gillette Castle and Mystic in Connecticut, Plymouth, Boston and Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts. The Secretary, Peggy Galebreath, announced that the PA State Grange Leadership School will be held at Juniata College June 24,25 and 26. Fulton Grange gave a donation to the Junior Grange Camp Fund. They ordered new supplies of the National and the PA State Grange cookbooks. Fremont Grange No. 1906 visited Fulton Grange and presented the program. Mrs. Fred Boyd was the narrator for a fashion show which was designed by Mr. and Mrs. James Wood. Charles and Lewis Coates presented colored slides of flower and other nature close-ups, local scenery as well as scenes at William sburg and Jamestown, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Grand Tetons, San Fran cisco, Washington State, Illinois wheat fields, Badlands in South Dakota, Idaho, Nevada and Catalina Island. The theme for the program at the next regular meeting, Monday, May 26, will be Mushroom Farming. Monday, June 9, Fulton Grange will host Lancaster County Granges when they will present the program and it will be the annual home made ice cream and strawberry party. The theme for the Monday, June 23 meeting will be June Dairy Month. featuring expo planned for June mercial breeder or just interested in an anynal as a pet. Starting at 9 a.m., John Harkness of Penn State, will speak on “Diseases of Rabbits”, followed by “Cavy Care, Conditioning and Nutrition” by George Long, AREA Cavy judge. Also at 9 a.m., Jamie Graybeal of Souderton will speak on “Opportunities for Youth in 4-H and ARBA”, Jamie was named ARBA King for 1978 and was the 1979 State 4-H Leadership Award Winner. At 10 a.xn. Herb Jordan, from the Penn State Ex tension Service, will speak on “The Three M’s; Management, Marketing, and Money”. Another feature at this same time will be ARBA slides on Nutrition, Tatooing, But chering, Breeding and other related topics. Walter Kennett of Brown’s Feeds will talk on “Nutrition”, a topic of in terest to all producers, hi 11 a.m. Lunch will be available at the Center. A special Judges’ Con ference will be held at 1:00 p.m. and is open to everyone.
