RAYBASTEDO MEMORIAL FUND PROPOSED FLEMINGTON, N.J. - The creation of a memorial fund m memory of Ray Bastedo, long-time resident of Hunterdon County and founder of the first 4-H Horse Club in the county, was proposed by the Hunterdon County Horse and Pony Association at its meeting on March 24 at the Extension Center. Bastedo, who passed away in January, was always mterested m horses and young people. A thank you note was received from the WOR Children’s Christmas Fund for the club’s participation in this service project. Demonstrations for the next Beef Council meeting are to be presented by Jake Matyas of Cahfon, Kim Shepperd of Milford, and Jennifer Kenney of Long Valley. The Angus Bowl has also been scheduled for this date. A committee, Jake Matyas, Jennifer Kenney, and Kenny Blemmings of Cahfon, was set up to plan the club’s activities for the 4- H Day at the Mall Program, to take place in May.
