MECHANICSBURG - Two new honorary members were installed in the Cum berland Valley Chapter of the FFA Tuesday during the 26th annual banquet. Edward Nolan, assistant principal of the Cumberland Valley High School and Tracy Gleim, local fanner and 1979 American Farmer degree recipient were honored by the group.- In addition to his honorary membership, Gleim was presented a House of Representatives Citation by Representative Harold F. Mowery, Jr. 1980 Keystone Farmers, Sam Coover and Randy Yost received congratulations from Daryl Beiler, North Central Regional Vice- President of the Penn sylvania FFA. Star Chapter Farmer selected was Sam Coover. Randy Yost was selected the Star Chapter Agribusinessman. PA Beef Cookoff to be held HARRISBURG - That original beef recipe you dreamed up could put a jingle in your pocket and win you fame if you enter the fifth annual Pennsylvania Beef Cook-Off Contest. The Cook-Off, which will be held June 16 at John Wanamaker’s Department Store in the Harrisburg East Mall, is open to all Penn sylvania residents 18 years or older. A minimum of six recipes will be selected for preparation m the fmal competition on June 16. A top prize of $lOO and eligibility for the National Cook-Off this August in Scottsdale, Arizona, will be at stake. According to the Agriculture Secretary, Penrose Hallowell, “Any beef dish using chuck, round, rump or fresh brisket cuts of beef in any form may be entered. The dish must contain a minimum of two pounds of beef and not more than five pounds of beef.
