A24—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, April 19,1980 Conococheague FFA honors top members BY RUTH ANN BENEDICT Staff Correspondent WILLIAMSON - Une hundred and twenty Conococheague FFA Chapter members, parents and school officials gathered at the Williamson Com munity Center on Thursday, April 10, to honor their distinguished members and officers at the Chapter’s annual parent-member banquet-dinner. Highlighting the banquet was the presentation of the annual awards. Penny Mellott, chapter secretary, presented Gold State Project Book Awards to: Paul Snider, work ex perience off farm; and Raymond Skinner, two enterpnses-dairy and crops. Silver awards went to: Penny Mellott, dairy; Jere Wingert, three enterprises; and Robert Poper, swine. A bronze award went to Hoyce Heckman, field corn. Raymond Skinner, chapter president, presented the Star Chapter Farmer Award to Craig Burkholder. Ron Brant, chapter ad visor, presented the DeKalb Award, based on four years of service to the vo-ag program, to Curtis Meyers. Meyers serves as chapter vice-president and county FFA president. Joan Faith received the Floriculture Award from Ron Fassio, chapter advisor, and Carla Shatzer was awarded the Agricultural Sales and Service Award.
